What is Neuro EP?

Let’s first break down the term Neuro EP. “Neuro” refers to your Nervous System, which includes your brain, spinal cord, and all the nerves in your body that connect to your brain/spinal cord. “EP” stands for Electro-Physiology, which is a term that describes how the nervous system functions with electrical signals. Specifically, all nerves in your body (including nerves in your brain called neurons), generate and receive electrical signals that allow you to move, think, and feel, as well as see, hear, smell, and taste. Neuro EP treatments are a collection of procedures and services that utilize Electro-Physiology tools to help improve all parts of your nervous system.

Your nervous system has 3 important divisions that can all improve with Neuro EP treatments:

1. Central Nervous System (CNS), which is your brain and spinal cord,

2. Peripheral Nervous System (PNS), which includes all the remaining nerves in your body

3. Autonomic Nervous System (ANS), which are specialized parts of your brain and nerves that automatically control physical functions, emotions, and thoughts for either high stress situations (Sympathetic arm of ANS= fight or flight responses) or calm situations (Parasympathetic arm of ANS=rest and digest responses).
